On Monday, April 20, in the presence of various authorities, the new Community Hospital of Gorizia will be inaugurated, completed on schedule and meeting the expected quality standards.
The project involved the functional, architectural, plant, and structural redevelopment of the former sanatorium, enhancing the provision of intermediate care services at the territorial level. The facility is designed for short-term stays and intended for patients requiring medium- to low-intensity clinical care.
The new Community Hospital, primarily nurse-managed, will contribute to more appropriate care delivery by reducing unnecessary emergency department visits and limiting the use of non-essential specialist services.

Construction continues on the new Maternity Hospital in Astana. The hospital campus includes several buildings: the main hospital with 250 beds, a conference and administrative building, a facility dedicated to morgue services, pathology, and laboratories, as well as technical and service volumes.
The architectural choices are oriented toward enhancing the humanization of spaces, with the aim of creating a “healing environment” suitable for mothers and their newborns.

InAR sponsored a charity evening in support of the Fondazione Ospedale Niguarda ETS at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
The Foundation supports the Niguarda Metropolitan Hospital in the development of projects focused on clinical research, technological innovation, and improving patient care and hospitality.

The event is part of a shared initiative between Teatro alla Scala and the Foundation, aimed at strengthening the dialogue between culture and healthcare for the benefit of the community.

The Final Design of the New Tiburtino Hospital has been approved. The new healthcare facility will be built in a low-density area of Tivoli, with the aim of providing local communities with modern, high-tech, and multi-specialty healthcare services.
The project focuses on quality, resilience, and flexibility, while integrating energy sustainability and environmental well-being. A distinctive feature is its integration with the surrounding landscape and strong emphasis on energy efficiency (NZEB standards), also achieved through the use of renewable energy sources. The organizational model is based on integrated care processes and advanced logistics, in synergy with the local healthcare system.

Renovation works have started for the Emergency Department and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital of the Spedali Civili in Brescia. The works include a series of interventions aimed at refurbishing the existing facilities and expanding intensive care capacity through the redevelopment of an adjacent area currently in shell condition.
These interventions fall ضمن the measures required for the containment and management of the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency and, in particular, are part of the Framework Agreement for the implementation of plans for the reorganization of the national hospital network, pursuant to Article 1 of Decree Law no. 34/2020, converted into law by Article 1 of Law no. 77/2020.

The President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, presented the project for the New Santobono Hospital during a press conference held in the De Sanctis Hall at Palazzo Santa Lucia.
President De Luca emphasized the importance of this “pediatric hospital citadel,” the largest in Italy, which will revolutionize healthcare for children and adolescents. It will be designed specifically for young patients, with careful attention to pathways, colors, and sounds, and will be able to compete with the top healthcare facilities in Europe.
“It will be an eco-sustainable hospital, focused on research, healthcare, and clinical excellence,” highlighted Santobono General Director Rodolfo Conenna. “It will be integrated with the neighborhood and the city, designed to improve treatment outcomes and reduce staff stress. It will be an ergonomic, safe, digital, modular, and flexible pediatric hospital, featuring 437 beds, including 60 for critical care, intensive and semi-intensive therapy, and 78 beds dedicated to day hospital services.”
The next step will be aiming to achieve IRCCS (Institute for Research, Hospitalization, and Healthcare) status, with a factory for the production of cells, tissues, organoids, medicines, digital and mechanical prostheses, and a software house for artificial intelligence, working in connection with local healthcare services.

The new Pediatric Emergency Hospital, designed in compliance with Kazakh national regulations and the highest international structural and technological standards, has been conceived as a “hub” facility capable of providing medical assistance to the pediatric population across the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to patients from the “Nura” district of the city of Astana.
The building, located in the area of the “National Emergency Medicine Coordination Center of the city of Astana,” to which it will be functionally connected via a linking structure, will include 200 inpatient beds, 18 intensive care beds, and 11 operating rooms.
It will provide care for pediatric patients of all ages (including neonatal surgery), with particular focus on managing Emergency-Urgency cases and highly specialized clinical care (medical, surgical, and infectious disease specialties).

InAR Engineering and Architecture continues its involvement in the Kazakhstan Hospital Network Modernization Program. In July, our team was entrusted with the development of the Concept Design for the redevelopment of the Almaty National Hospital.

In December, we delivered the final design for the New Maternity Hospital in Astana, a true healthcare campus to be built on a 5.3-hectare site, with construction already underway.

InAR Engineering and Architecture will once again play a leading role in Lombardy’s welfare sector by conducting the feasibility study for the redevelopment of “Villa Eremo” (ASST of Lecco), which will be converted into a Center for Pediatric and Childhood Fragilities.

This new challenge engages us in a systemic approach to the project, addressing the neuropsychiatric complexity of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation pathways for minors, while remaining mindful of the essential focus on relationships with their families.

The final design has been delivered for the construction of the new BioBank and BSL Laboratories at the Candiolo Cancer Institute-IRCCS (Turin).

This new building will expand the existing complex and will house a cryopreservation area and a histological sample archive, along with medical offices and laboratories for clinical and research purposes, featuring biocontainment up to BSL3 standards.

InAR Engineering and Architecture has signed the contract for the Integrated Design (Architecture, Structures, Safety, and Construction Supervision) for the enhancement of the Niguarda Metropolitan Hospital in Milan, in preparation for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

This is a significant investment and an example of how world-class events can bring enormous benefits to local areas. Thanks to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics, Lombardy will have an even stronger healthcare system, with new and upgraded facilities serving its citizens.”

InAR Engineering and Architecture, in partnership with Proger, RINA, and Manens, has signed a contract with INAIL for the comprehensive design, construction supervision, and safety management of healthcare buildings in Central and Southern Italy.

The contract involves €14 million in service fees for projects totaling €250 million in construction value.

Construction has begun on the new Pediatric Burn Unit at As Salam Hospital in Port Said, Egypt. The Proger – InAR partnership will carry out High-Level Supervision of the project following the development of the final design.

Proger – InAR once again join forces for the Construction Management and Safety Coordination of the works for the realization of the Community Hospital of Gorizia. The same consortium had previously signed the technical-economic feasibility and final design projects for this important ‘piece of history’ of the Friulian city.

The consortium comprising Proger, Manens, Pinearq, InAR, Arethusa, and Zigarella has been awarded the design of the new Santobono-Pausilipon Hospital in Naples. The new hospital will reinforce its role as a HUB for complex regional emergencies while also being a “green hospital”—eco-sustainable, deeply integrated with the neighborhood and the city, capable of achieving a symbiotic balance with the environment in terms of infrastructural, construction, and energy quality.

The “health campus,” to be built near the Ponticelli Urban Park, will accommodate 437 beds dedicated to the care of newborns, children, and adolescents, addressing their specific healthcare needs while also focusing on hospitality, humanization, and socialization

The president of VIDAS, Ferruccio de Bortoli, and the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, have reaffirmed their joint commitment to creating social and healthcare facilities for people in fragile conditions by signing the agreement for the project “More Life to Years”.

This extraordinary and ambitious initiative aims to revitalize and enhance the Cascina Casanova site within Milan’s Parco Forlanini. InAR Ingegneria Architettura, with its team, will work to return this lost asset to the park and the city, creating a virtuous cycle that will provide future residents with the protection of VIDAS’s home care network in an environment featuring spaces and services open to the community.

The Cascina Casanova area will also host volunteer activities and serve as a meeting place fostering solidarity between young and elderly people, promoting intergenerational learning practices as “vectors” of well-being and social inclusion

As part of its commitment to research projects, InAR Ingegneria Architettura has been awarded the prestigious project for the construction of the extraordinary “Einstein Telescope” (Sos Enattos, Sardinia Region), in partnership with Rocksoil S.p.A. as the leading company, for the National Institute for Nuclear Physics.

The Einstein Telescope is the new major European observatory for gravitational waves, enabling scientists to detect the merging of intermediate black holes throughout the history of the Universe, providing a deeper understanding of its evolution.

The approval process (Conferenza dei Servizi) for the definitive design of the new Siracusa hospital was concluded in record time, with InAR involved as part of a joint venture with Proger and Manens.

The Special Commissioner emphasized the widely acknowledged urgency of this project, which prompted the Legislator to establish a special commission regime to ensure no delays. He highlighted the full adherence to contractual timelines and the Client’s expectations regarding the completion of the definitive design activities.

Work has officially started on the construction of the “New Gaslini”. The IRCCS Istituto Giannina Gaslini today signed the agreement with the concessionaire Zena Project and will benefit from Project Management Consulting services provided by RINA – PROGER.

InAR Ingegneria Architettura will support RINA-Proger in the Design Review process, bringing its expertise in the healthcare sector to the project.

InAR participated in the annual convention of Proger S.p.A., held on December 21 in the stunning Roman setting of Villa Miani.

During the event, we spoke about “Global Systems for Health” and announced, marking 25 years of professional partnership, the entry of Proger S.p.A. into InAR’s share capital. Scheduled for 2023, Proger will acquire a 20% stake, enabling InAR to face global health challenges with greater strength and vision.
